Northgate State School provides a dynamic educational experience for students which enable them to become successful learners.
Our academic programs are focused on building students’ foundational skills, attitudes and values to ensure they achieve their individual potential. Literacy and numeracy skills are taught explicitly as well as embedded in Northgate State School’s curriculum. The core areas of study for all year levels are based on Education Queensland’s syllabus – Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority (QCAA) and the Australian Curriculum (ACARA).
The syllabus documents provide a framework from which the school has adopted quality educational experiences. At a school level we plan to deliver a curriculum that ensures all students have opportunities to engage in meaningful learning. All our decisions around curriculum teaching and learning are focused on our students’ needs and abilities.
At Northgate State School our core business is student learning. We believe success takes heart.
